The National Social Assistance Programme 2020 (NSAP) launched on 15th August 1995. The NSAP scheme come under the government of India. The scheme provides financial help to old age, in case of unemployment, disability, widows in the form of pension.

National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS) – Scheme is especially for the person who is in the bread-winner (a person who earns money to support their family, typically the single one) of age in between 18-64.

Justification of NSAP:
The National Social Assistance Programme that is NSAP defines and provides the special steps towards the fulfillment and requirement of the Directive Principles.
The Directive Principles are in 41 Article and 42 Article of the Constitution recognizes the current responsibilities of the Central and the State Governments sections.
In the individual Article of 41 which is known for the Constitution of India and it directs the State. The state provides the public servants to its citizens. The servants or assistance provides only if there is unemployment, or the peoples are aged, sickness and disablement, etc.
Focus points of NSAP:
- Selection: The gram panchayats or other municipals parties want to provide the special efforts to the schemes and they play important roles in the identifications under the different schemes of NSAP.
- Disbursement: Besides the benefits using the accounts of the banks or if the post office banks which come under the old-age pension scheme can disbursed in the public meetings. Like as gram sabha or gram panchayats.
- Monitoring: The different states have different flexibility and advantages to develop better schemes by following any State Government Department.
NSAP appointed the Nodal Secretary at the State level to provide the follow-up and report the progress of implementation by communicating with other departments which also concerned with the development of the various schemes.
NSAP has no application format as well as it has no fees for generating the application under the NSAP.
Duties and functions of NSAP:
