Aadhar Card Tracking – You can track your Aadhaar Card either by name or by your mobile phone number. This article should help you if you have lost or misplaced your Aadhaar Card number, providing you with exact steps you need to take to retrieve the number.
Aadhar Card Tracking
To do this rightly, you will need the name and the mobile phone number you have used when you registered. There are two ways to do this, you can do it online by filling out the request to get your number or you can go to your nearest Aadhaar Enrolment Centre where help will be provided to you.
How do you do it online?
The online submission will require you to go to the official UIDAI website (https://resident.uidai.gov.in/find-uid-eid). You will choose the tab ‘Receive what you’ve lost’- The Aadhaar Number (UID). This is chosen by default. You will fill in your Full Name, the one you wrote when registering for the Aadhaar Card at your Enrolment Centre.
When you have finished that, you will write in your mobile phone number or your e-mail ID, whichever suits you best (this has to be the same number or the same address you gave when registering). After that, enter the security code as shown in the image above.
When you did all that, you will press “Get OTP”. OTP basically means One Time Password. You will receive the OTP shortly, on your phone number or on your e-mail. The OTP is essential in this process, so be sure you typed in the right information or you will not be able to get the OTP and continue with your process.
The OTP will be valid for 5 minutes, so you will have to do everything at the same moment, be sure not to leave it for later. When you receive your OTP you will hit “Fill OTP” and then click the “Verify OTP” option. You will notice a message pop out. It will say something like “Congratulations! You Have been sent your Aadhaar Number on your mobile phone or your e.mail address!” You will check for it and that is the whole process.
How do you do it offline?
If you do not want to do it online, or you are not able to, you can simply go to your nearest Aadhaar Enrolment Centre. There are people qualified for this exact problem and they will put you through the similar process. You will need to provide them with your virtual information (mobile phone or e-mail address) or your demographic information. The Aadhaar Number will be sent to your home address.
