Aadhar Card Self Update – Aadhar card update and correction can be done easily and successfully without necessarily visiting the Aathar card centers. Updating your card is easy with the help of Aadhar Self Service Update Portal (SSUP). The self-service give address update to the residents allowing residents to do update request directly.
Aadhar Self Service Update Portal (SSUP) allows you to update your Aadhar details from the portal. This can be done by anybody, anywhere without stepping into the Aathar center.
Aadhar Card Self Update
Here are Aadhar card details that can be updated:
Demographic information such as Name, Date of Birth or Age, Email Address, Mobile Number, and Registration Status.
Biometric information like Finger Print, Iris and Facial Photograph.
In order to update the Aadhar Card successfully, follow the steps below:
Open the Self Service Update Portal (SSUP).
On Aathar Update menu, click address update request.
Read instructions carefully
Then click ‘’proceed” button
Key in the 12 digits Aadhar card number. The page containing your details is displayed.
The UIDAI send you a message with the OTP in it, which is a one time password. This message is sent to your phone, so make sure you have a phone near you.
Enter the OTP to log in to your Aadhar account.
Select the areas which you wanted to make changes such as Address if you have changed your residence.
Enter the residential address mentioned in the Proof of Address, then click ‘’Submit Update Request” button.
In case you want to modify the address, click the ‘’modify”
Then tick the declaration and click ‘’proceed” button
Finally, select the document type you want to submit as Proof of Address (PoA)
Then the next step is to upload the scanned documents like Electricity bill, Birth certificate for D.O.B. or even Affidavit. It is important to upload colored copies.
Click ‘’Yes” button after reading the confirmation dialogue.
Verify your details by selecting the BPO server provider and then click submit
The details mentioned in the form are inspected by the BPO server provider that confirms whether the details match with the PoA and then forward your request to the UIDAI.
The update request is finally accepted and Acknowledgement Slip is provided to you.
The acknowledgment slip received comprises the Update Request number (URN)
Reasons that would lead to Aadhar card Biometric Update
The child is required to be re-enrolled when he/she attain the age of 5
When resident attain age of 15 all biometrics should be updated.
When resident attain the age of over 15, they are recommended to update biometric data every 10 years
Sometimes accident or disease can lead to a biometric exception.
Reasons that would lead to Demographic Data Update
In case of the change in life events like marriage leading one to change details like Name and address.
If there was an error made during the enrolment process.
In case one wants to change the local language of enrolment to another.
If UIDAI is ascertained of PoA or other documents collected at the time of enrolment or update and decide to request resident to update their demographic information.
