When you go to the site written above, you will end up on the official page of the UIDAI. There you will notice the option “Retrieve EID/UID”. This is where you will find what you want to retrieve, an Aadhaar Number or Enrolment Number.
After you have chosen this, you will fill in your personal information, such as your name, address, phone number etc. Then press the “Send OTP” button. OTP is basically a one- time password. You are going to get the OTP on the number you have registered with. When you verify it, you will be able to download your Aadhaar Card.
Also note, that the downloaded Aadhaar card is password protected – the password is a combination of the first four letters of your name and your year of birth. You can get this printed on good-quality paper, laminate it and use it for all purposes. This is the whole process. Follow these steps and you will be able to retrieve your lost credentials.
