1. Go to Aadhar self-service portal
When you visit the self-service center, you will see a section for Aadhar update. Then you will click on the information you desire to update, you will then be required to provide some information base on the section of your data you want to edit or update.
2. Read the instruction provided
You will be required to read the update instruction before you proceed. After you have read the instruction carefully and you have understood it, you can then click on the proceed button.
3. Provide your 12 Digit Aadhar Number
After you have clicked on proceed, the next page will require you to enter your Aadhar 12 Digit random number to enable the system to authenticate and validate your information. Make sure you enter the number correctly to avoid any error or denial.
4. Text Verification and OTP
You will be required to do a text verification to confirm that you are not a robot. After you have entered the text provided for confirmation, click on send OTP so that the system will generate OTP and send to your registered phone number. Be careful to follow the steps diligently.
5. Use the OTP to log into your Aadhar Account
On receiving the OTP, enter the OTP in the box provided on the system so that you can log into your Aadhar account.
6. Submit a request for the update you need to do
After you have logged into your Aadhar account, you will have access to your data and information. Click on your address and provide the address you submitted for verification and then click on submit. Once you complete with this, you can then go ahead and send your request for update. Note that you need to make a declaration to enable you to complete the modifications.
7. Attach Your Documents for Verification
Always make sure you have scanned copies of your documents with you before you initiate update because you will be required to upload and submit them for verification. After you have completed your upgrade, attach your documents for verification.
8. Get your Acknowledgement
Once your update request is successful, the system will generate for you an acknowledgment copy. Download this acknowledgment and keep for your record. It contains your update request number. (Aadhar Card Edit)
